Born and raised in Würzburg/Greussenheim. 

After completing a banking apprenticeship at Bayerische Vereinsbank and serving as a conscripted soldier with the mountain troops in Sonthofen/Volkach, pursued studies in law at the University of Würzburg. The second state examination took place in Düsseldorf, followed by a stint at the public prosecutor’s office in Duisburg, leaving little room for imagination and art.

Driven by a passion for film, initial experiences as a lawyer and employed agent led to becoming self-employed. In 2008, the establishment of the agency Doells, and a collaboration with Silvana Liebig under the label Lastrada doells, in partnership with the youth organization Next Generation and Linda Wolters.

Simultaneously, the development of the author and filmmaker departments was undertaken. The focus was on creating original content as a Creative Producer under the label Doells d.o.g. (Thinking without guardrails / Hanna Ahrendt).

In addition to “Freier Fall,” collaborations with Stephan Lacant resulted in “Fremde Tochter.” “Freier Fall” opened the Berlinale 2012 in the Perspective German Cinema section.

Residing in Berlin since 2005.
